Every month we sit down with a Likhaee member to talk about their craft, their process, and what community means to them.
Priya joined Likhaee in its first month. She works primarily with natural dyes and hand-weaving, creating wall hangings and scarves inspired by Punjabi textile traditions. "Having other makers around keeps me accountable," she says. "Before Likhaee, I'd start projects and never finish them. Now I've completed more pieces in two years than the previous ten."

Marcus picked up woodturning during lockdown after watching videos online and buying a second-hand lathe. He came to his first open studio day feeling self-taught and slightly uncertain. "Within an hour, two people had shown me techniques that would have taken me months to figure out alone." He now leads our popular Introduction to Woodturning sessions every other month.

Fatima makes functional pottery, mugs, bowls and planters with a distinctive speckled glaze she developed over two years of experimentation. She credits the Likhaee markets with giving her the confidence to sell. "My first market, I sold three mugs and nearly cried. Now I have a waiting list. The community believed in my work before I did."

We're always looking for makers to spotlight. If you're a Likhaee member with a story to tell, or if you know someone whose work deserves more eyes on it, drop us a note. The only criteria: you make things and you're part of our community. That's it.
Spotlights are informal conversations, not polished interviews. We'll ask you about your craft, what got you started, and what the community means to you. No pressure, no script.
